Because Sherlock Holmes is flawless.
I hear his hair is insured for ten thousand dollars.
I hear that he does car commercials… in London.
One time he met John Watson on a plane. And he told him that he was pretty.
One time, Sherlock punched Anderson in the face…. it was awesome.
My Body is a Cage - Peter Gabriel (after Arcade Fire)
“I’m living in an age whose name I don’t know, though the fear keeps me moving”
Warning, this is no cheerful tune. In fact, I’m pretty sure it could depress the most jubilant of listeners. Put it in a Playlist marked “Save for the most rainy day”.
This is one of my favourite Arcade Fire songs, from their Funeral album, but with the dark and simple whispers of Peter Gabriel gets all more lugubrious. The string interludes give it a highly cinematic quality, like a villain’s escape or the near death encounter of the protagonist. It brought Johnny Klimek’s “Perfume: Story of a Murderer” to mind.
Apparently it was featured in a season finale of House. What a cheerful ending that must have been.
this is basically how i imagine the raffles series was made
george gissing, e.w. hornung, sir arthur conan doyle, and h.g. wells
just hanging out
I dunno, that wall looks pretty suspicious.Sniper what are you doing? Are you drunk? There is nothing to shoot there. What are you aiming at?
